First I would like to welcome you all to another season of minor
hockey with NGS and hope that all players, parents and volunteers
have a great year.
As your new President I would like to take this time to introduce
myself. My NGS experience started in 1998 when my oldest boy started
playing hockey. I started as a volunteer and then was recruited
to take my IP program and was involved as Initiation Program Coordinator
until 2002. At that time I was elected as 2nd Vice for the last
two years and now President. During this time I have had the opportunity
to learn from many NGS members as well as parents and players.
Many members and parents have expressed great concern over the
selection process for our teams. I have received many comments this
year that the cuts and the process to inform the players has changed
and most teams had been given either a letter or a phone call at
home. I would like to thank all coaches for the great success we
had during this process and hope this continues in the following
years.
At this time I would like to introduce your 2004-2005 NGSMHA Executive
and for the first time that I am aware each position is held.

I would like to thank each of our volunteers for the dedication
and effort to make hockey fun for our association players. Special
thanks to Heather Paul and her fundraising committee for hours of
seemingly endless time at Wallmart, various fairs and events to
raise desperately needed funds, Please be sure to thank them when
you see them. Great effort and success is needed in this crucial
area if we are lower the cost of minor hockey for our association
members.
I look forward to meeting and working with many of you in the coming
year.
